Historical Brief: William Willams

 I thought I wrote about him but he’s not in my notes 

William Williams - signer DOI

He was born in Lebanon CT. 

He studied theology and law at Harvard.  

Williams fought in the French and Indian war. 

This signer was a very vocal patriot.  He did not agree with he confederation of CT.  

he was a prolific, satirical writer to King George in the CT Gazette; prior to the American Revolution. 

Eventually Williams returned to Lebanon and was employed as a theologian.  His residence there is a National Historic Landmark.
